Thanks for the post.Question: is there any difference between using the procedure outline above and the "sample" command?

Hello, I am conducting a meta analysis which involves 27 prevalence studies. As I have a I square that greatly exceeds 50% I was wondering whether the Trim and Fill method would indeed be adequate to...

This is very informative. I would note, however, that the three level with covariates example assumes that the three covariates are constructed in such a way that they are mutually uncorrelated which...

Adding 'if' and weights to this command would be hugely helpful!

Is it possible to use putexcel for tabulate twoway? I can't seem to figure out the correct syntax from looking at tabulate oneway examples.

very helpfull intro, but you should let the readers know that the xtmixed command was replaced by mixed in Stata 13.

I also want to know if it is possible to use putexcel for tabluate twoway with row frequency. I especially want to save the row frequency. Can you help? Thank you.

Can you send an example into tech-support@stata.com
View ArticleRe: Understanding matrices intuitively, part 1
By far the best description of matrix multiplication i have seen. You should write a book. Very well presented article thanks.
View ArticleRe: Understanding matrices intuitively, part 2, eigenvalues and eigenvectors
Very very good explanation.I kind of feel sad that a material of this quality is not appreciated and i had to search a lot to get to this page. Finally i have understood the mystical eigen values. thanks

I also very much like your post. Having been struggling with visualizing the graphs and finally this is the thing I need. Thanks!
View ArticleRe: Understanding matrices intuitively, part 2, eigenvalues and eigenvectors
I think you really brought about a very important point which is eigen operations bring the matrix down to linear operations. And this is an insight that normally courses will not be able to appreciate.

Thank you so much. This has cleared my so long time confusion over time-series vs longitudinal data.

Just wanted to say thanks for this really great and visual explanation of eigenvectors =)
